There has been a significant change to this Saturday's Trans March Forum. Please read this!
After speaking with the moderators and when we focused on a process that will make our community stronger, increase trust and unity in honoring our differences, we have decided to hold this conversation in stages.
-Stage one (This Saturday, Aug. 16th): will provide a space for Mixed/POC (People of mixed race and people of color) folks only to come together. (more details below)
-Stage two (Date TBA) will create a safe space for all TransWomen only (both non-POC and POC/mixed) to come together.
-Stage three (Date TBA) will open a safe space for the full community to come together constructively build bridges and work on
creating a space for all of us to be truly represented and celebrated.
All of our conversations will focus on the following:
*Create a vision for an inclusive, empowering, and united transcommunity
*Assess what currently works, what does not work
*Identify new opportunities to strengthen the community
Apologies for the last minute change. We want this meeting to be as constructive as possible and realized that it could be too chaotic to go with our original plan, which was to initially have a "free for all" meeting where people go up and speak what's on their mind. We want everyone to be heard and are doing our best to figure out the best way for this to happen without feeding any rifts in community.
We thank everyone for your interest in the forum and ask you to trust in the process and in our intentions to strengthen our unity! We look forward to meeting with you all soon.

This moderated POC/Mixed race community forum will occur on Saturday August 16th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Voice Factory, 1519 Mission Street (between 11th and Van Ness).
